What an exciting way to kick-off the 2022/23 season than by welcoming our new coach and captain to the Ambleside squad! (And they are more than excited to get this season underway with a bang!)
Lucy Downham is Ambleside’s new player coach and has been a long-standing member of the club since she was nine-years-old. Outside of hockey, Lucy is a Physiotherapist working at the leading rehabilitation clinic, The Body Rehab at Staveley.
Jo Rycroft, also having played hockey for many years, is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist and works at UClan and The Body Rehab. She joined Ambleside last year having had a little break from hockey and now enters this season as captain.
We are so excited to see how far the club can go under Lucy and Jo’s guidance.
